Is there parking anywhere near the port....the ferry gets in at 21.30 and my OH is not a good sailor

Nice beach just north of the port but police do sometimes move you on as its close to a campsite.
We had a bike rally just north of the port, as said large beach area and a few cafes. Maybe use cafe and car park
