Now we can not park at Cite Europe, I’m going south via Rouen.
As one stopped over night at Commercial Central parking Auchan, Saint-Martin, it’s about 35 km down the A16.
Thank you there next Tuesday 17th.

Ah thanks, different one near Luxembourg comes up on google, park4night suggests the Caribbean !
We planned for Cite Europe, having used it for the first time last month, will probably use Gravellines.

Hi Dave,
We have stayed there many years ago in our caravan and had a noisy night, however, it gets some bad reviews on here and elsewhere for break ins and antisocial behaviour so do a bit of research before you do.....

seen to many times about staying on motorway aires...?

I have to say, it's not somewhere I'd overnight myself either, in fact, most if not all Autoroute Aires would be a no no for us. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :(

We used Auchan Boulogne a few weeks ago when we were asked to leave Cite Europe at ten o clock. We found it to feel very quiet and secure. Now when arriving on a late train we will head straight down there, if we hadn’t been too late at night we would have used the aire in Boulogne.

Hi Rds559,
Are you still intending to stay at the Boulogne Auchan on Tues 17th? Will anyone else be there then?
We usually use Cite d'Europe and have no knowledge of how safe the Boulogne Auchan is.
Any advice welcome
Violet

I mentioned it earlier and thought I’d bring it up again just in case anyone missed it. Neufchâtel Hardelot about 30-40 minutes towards Rouen. Free parking but no services, very quiet and if you see anybody apart from a few cars it’s unusual. We’ve stayed there for many one nighters with no problems. We have always had at least one other MH for company although rarely a British one.

As a lot of the big houses (probably posh holiday homes) are empty if you don’t like being isolated it might not be for you but we feel safer when in less busy places. It’s on CC and Search for sites.

Before using Citie Europ for first/last nights we used Wissant, until it got a bit uncertain if there would be room left. However in January it tended to b okay so we'll probably try there first - if no good we'll have to go elsewhere - Auchan at Boulogne looks okay, we usually call in there for last minute shopping but never overnighted. Yet.

In the past when we have used the ferry we used to stay on the port car park over night (somewhere about here 50.967229, 1.867272), is that still allowed?
If so it's not too difficult to use that even if you are travelling via Euro Tunnel.

When did they stop overnight stays at Cite Europe? We stayed there two weeks ago with several other M/Hs without any problem. Other than when the missus went out the back of the mall & couldn't find our M/H.
