We read a lot about motorhome parking bans/restrictions in the UK .. This news item is about parking bans in the US .. sound familiar ?

It didn't take me long to discover that off-site motorhomers and bricks and mortar locals don't mix.

I have developed two solutions for myself.

First possibility. Have a live in van that doesn't look like a motorhome.
What they don't know about they don't worry about.

Or, secondly, avoid "Houseys" like the plague.

I haven't "spoilt" anything for the "rest" of you.
