Finally reaching 'old' I have begun wearing hearing aids. Took them off today to get my hair cut. While making the bed I found our kitten with one of them in his mouth (!!!!) searched the house with my wife and could not find it anywhere. I am allowed to lose one pair during my whole life I believe, so mentally putting together a letter, my wife casually asked what I had in my ear..... I am now officially old.

I must be getting old ... I'm still trying to work out what the issue is! :giggle:

By all accounts if they are on and not connected to flesh they send out a high pitch locating noise every minute

May I suggest kneeling down on the floor with your ear under each piece of furniture for at least a minute and you might get lucky.

Failing that, get someone else to do it !

Thought the second missing one was in the ole ear’ole… or maybe I am missing something. Pic of kitten please xx

Yes that's my assumption too ... but it's not completely clear hence my confusion!

Kitten picture would be nice wouldn't it. :giggle:

Second one was in my earhole. If I could listen under the furniture for high pitched sound without them, I would not need them. Sorry if I was confusing. Kitten picture would look like this....

It's the trouble with modern tiny hearing aids, if mine aren't my ears they are in gtheir official box, which is big enough to locate.

I've just been telling the grandchild that my phone has lost its ping, and thats why I haven't replied to her message...
her response was have you got your hearing aids in...

Daft bugger

I was looking for my glasses the other day, after 5 mins I realised I was wearing them.

Similarly I was distractedly searching for my car keys the other day and cursing (silently) while I retraced my steps around the house. Took a few minutes to find them - gripped between my teeth, where I’d held them while doing my shoes up at the front door.

PS for the wise guys about to comment - my teeth are in my mouth and not floating in a glass beside the bed (yet!).

mine have ventured into the dogs gob on two separate occasions.
Luckily the battery had baled out both times before they got swallowed
Still cost me £80 each time for replacements.

I've lost one a couple of weeks ago had them just perched on the back of my ears without the tube in my ears, I think it might have gone down the loo.
