when you fixed your tow-bar to the m/home did you use spring washers or ordinary washers and bolts.

Where there is chance of movement I always use flat washers then spring then nut
Or flat washers and locking nuts
On such as a towbar a must for me
And use heavy duty washers not the cheap crap

Deffo spring washer when I fitted mine and nylock nuts just to be sure

sorry for late reply Sammy.

i used flat washers on the alko chassis side and flat washers plus nyloc nuts on the plate side.

i used M12 (17mm spanner size) nuts and bolts all round.

no torque data so just tightened them 'grunt' tight then check again after a decent towing run

using nylocs negates the need for spring washers

when swap the towball for the motorbike rack, I replace these between the ball and mount each time:

Internal Serrated Lock Washers, Stainless Steel M16
