Cheers can over this mornig funny noise from bottom of engine, put it down to engine being cold. But it was at the back of my mind so decided to get it checked at my normal garage, turned out to be crank pully damper was going and pully rubbing on timing chain cover, even though they were busy managed to fit me in now fixed, Switzerland here I come

Should have said checking van over. It's a mk7 transit for all you ford lovers. Might be an idea next time yours is in for a service to get it checked because the rubber breaks down over time

Common fault on Mk7 Transit, Mondeo, Xtype Jaguar.
There is an updated heavy duty pulley available.

To check if its the pulley put aircon on at low revs and it will start to grumble
