When we went to Beni two years ago in Feb we hit snow there, it is a bit hilly.

there is snow in many places in spain . always is .
some places never get rid of it. even in july the peco,s de europa have a covering .
about 42 roads were officially roped off yesterday as unpassable.
as much as a metre of snow thick in many places .
we even had to put on tshirts here on the east coast.
might have to wear socks if it carries on .

Snow in London also...has stopped now though but it is laying, looks nice but can't stand it

The motorway from SW France to Madrid routinely goes over the 1000m contour and has snow refuges dotted along its length at regular intervals - that was a bit of an eye-opener for me last autumn. High plains drifting, so to speak.
