Not much pay is it. Most likely the minimum wage.

Is that £7.85 per person or per couple?
If per person that isn't too bad with the free pitch and use of facilities etc

4 hours a day isn’t much work is it?

Even at minimum wage, with everything free except food, not a bad life for a couple that still want to work!!

It’s def something I would consider later in life if my circumstances havnt changed!! X

It is minimum wage but has other perks, free pitch etc. We are more than happy with the money we make in the season.
Overall I think the good outways the bad.

Hi John,,, I should think it’s not bad at all mate,,
Healthy lifestyle, out and about, and with two wages, £15,00 per hour with low outgoings I would think it’s easy to survive and enjoy! Good luck to you both! Xx

Many wardens work far in excess of 4 hours.
Our days are from 8 to 12 hours each so it adds up quite nicely.
We can earn 20K plus with little outgoings it is possible to save quickly.
We enjoy the atmosphere during the season and are free to travel in the winter period.

Yes but they had to get their qualifications at Oxford, you’re a Canterbury qualifier. Haha

I think it's more of a lifestyle choice, than a 'job' per se?

And it's one that I am seriously tempted by :D2

Yes that is it exactly. Also has the option later in life to do a small number of hours in exchange for free pitch...that hopefully will make the pension last longer

Dawn and myself are wardens. It is a great way of life and highly recommended.

We'd also recommend it, Deb and I did our first ever season last year and we're going back to the same site this season after having 5 months winter break. We got our job through UK campsites. It's been great being able to work together and enjoy our days off in beautiful surroundings (South east Cornwall).

@ianthebuilder - it’s not the size of your ‘todger’ that is important to the ladies it’s the size of your wallet - and don’t let any woman tell you otherwise!!! Lol:LOL:

I’ve stayed on independant sites...
And offered my services  That being work in exchange for free camping - and in some cases free pub grub..
There’s always some job that needs doing.. a couple of hrs work equates to most nightly fees.. or more...

I’ve cut grass
Mended leaky showers
Waited in a pub serving grub
Cut hedges back
Made shed doors
Cleaned... et-al..

And you still have the freedom to wander off if you’ve had enough (y)

Have got the UkCamp in my favs for the jobs... if ever it takes my fancy
