P0234 Turbocharger / Supercharger "A" Overboost error code (1 Viewer)

HI all
Just got back from a weekend in Blackpool. 50 miles into the return trip at a steady 60 on the M62, the engine warning lamp came on and all power went.
Coasted onto the hard shoulder and put on my engine reader and it says "P0234 Turbocharger / Supercharger "A" Overboost"
I managed to clear the error and continue home taking at steady at 45 and all seems ok.

The van is a 2013 Peugeot Boxer with a 2.2 engine...
Does anyone know anything about this error or what could cause it before I take it to a garage?

dont know if that engine has a waste gate that could stick allowing turbo pressure to build up

maybe variable vanes on turbo sticking, I would try some archoil

I did one recently with the same code, much older model but the turbos still work the same basic way.

On that the turbo actuator arm had seized on its pivot. Wd40 and some wiggling freed it off.
