Just done a 15 day outback safari also from the Gold Coast, Queensland. Ended up at the 'Pub in the Scub' out near the Opal mining town of Lightning Ridge, NSW, a fossicker dream. Beautiful red sunsets, amazing hot mineral springs, blue cloudless skies with temperatures in the high twenties. With a roaring campfire and some cold beers, MAGIC. Now back home on the Gold Coast where the summer just keeps on going.
