Hi can anybody help. Have been on to Oyster and still waiting a call back. The Oyster dish will not lower. It shows an error "In It" and also X motor blocked, any ideas. Have checked fuses and connections.

Regards

which system do you have? And have you checked the roof to ensure everything looks OK uptop?

If it is alive as such when the power to the tv is on.... try switching the power off and on and re-try dropping the dish...

I had the same once, and for some reason that was the only way I could get it down..

What a pain !
I have had it myself.. In my case a bloody twig had somehow found its way in to the casing and jammed the work gear solid !!

First off try the easy way.. remove the fuse so it all resets
If that does not work then I am afraid it is time to get your climbing gear out as it will have to be taken apart ! :(

Eddie thanks for your prompt reply.

The unit is about seven years old, not sure what model it but it is 85cm auto.
Everything is live , the TV is on and working BUT no showing any programmes the sat is not in line with Astra 2. Have taken the fuse in and out several times but still no good.

Error shows "In It" and "Ex Motor blocked" and a red light is flashing

Yup.. same as I had..
Thought it was gonna be a motor replacement at the very least but like I say,,, sodding lumop of twig got in there somehow.. ( still baffled as to how it happened even now.. )
It is something I will not easily forget as it happened on a site near Yarmouth on a really hot sunny day..
I ended up getting my 'builders bum' sun burned !!!!!!

before you go any further you really have to check that there is no physical problem

Eddie

Eddie, have been up on the roof can't see any probs!!

Right then. It will probably be either a limit switch up in the roof mounted unit that needs re-adjusting (bending ;)) or, the PC board needs replacing

How handy are you?

Eddie

I had the same problem on the same dish on my last van. I contacted Conrad Anderson of Birmingham who were more than helpful.

Many thanks Eddie. I think it will be a trip to Taunton in the next couple of weeks. Will phone you.
