Oyster Sat Problem Help! (1 Viewer)

anyone have any advice I am at Millau in France put my oyster on it can not find Astra 2 but finds one and locks on but the sky/ TV says no satellite signal being received
Any ideas

You are probably out of the footprint since they "improved " it. Try selecting Astra 1, then do a channel search.

no problem with footprint at millau with an oyster 85

We met a couple at St Valery en Caux in Normandy that we're having problems not being able to get their 85cm oyster dish to lock onto a satellite. We had no problems with our maxview 40cm dome.

See post in sat section for jun27, for me it needed new download from Astra1 sat as my oyster 85 digital could not find astra2, sorry but dont know how to post link so you will have to search the forum for sat and scroll down to jun27. I rang oyster for help, instant email from them with details which are in the jun27 post. If still stuck Oyster are on 01858 575 928 and very helpful.

Sean thanks very much for all your help sky channels all working well but bbc itv ch 4/5 saying tech fault but I will get retuned when I get back to UK

I've just come back from Millau. My dish also played up whist there. Once we had moved 50 miles north everything was fine. I called in at the motor home dealer in Millau and he said ALL UK fitted dishes had problems in there area but further north was fine.
