Just sat here watching the chase and the satellite dish retracted on its own. It wont go back up again and displays and “Power Error” and another press shows “Booting” then “Power error”.
The batteries are fully charged.
Any suggestions please?

Try holding all four buttons on the control unit at the same time this should reset it... Failing that remove the fuse in the main box and reinsert after 30 seconds or so.

Thanks for reply. It appears and it now makes sense that the leisure battery where the sat dish is powered from had dropped to 10.8 volts, hence power error.

Good morning DJP,

The Oyster Vision III systems have a fail safe built in to bring the dish down before power gets too low to operate the system safely. Once the power supply drops to 11.5v the system will automatically retract and will not operate again until the power has been restored.
A good thing to remember is that, depending on how the system has been fitted, the habitation display panel may show a different battery voltage to what is actually being received at the Oyster brain unit so it can be misleading when trying to determine an error of this nature.
We recommend that all Oyster systems should be wired directly to the battery however this may not always be the case.

On another note I would recommend that you get the leisure battery drop tested as most batteries that drop below 11v can have further issues not holding a charge. It's worth getting checked just to be safe.
