overnight stay for ferry from Poole (1 Viewer)

we have decided to get the ferry from poole to Cherbourg and wondered if you could recommend a nearby place to overnight in Poole.

Hello from Devon,
You can park at the port in the loading lanes for free
or by the cafeteria, but the cafe owner may change you £5.
Showers, water, dump, and toilets there.

If you want a campsite, south lychett manor just up the road is very nice, or you can sleep on the dock think it costs £5 you pay in the cafe. Happy travels.

Whilst I love Kimmeridge Bay I thought this parking area was accessed by a private road and that they charged for using it.

Whilst I love Kimmeridge Bay I thought this parking area was accessed by a private road and that they charged for using it.

The parking area I refer to is off the public highway before reaching the village. The toll road starts after the village on the access road down to the bay.

We stayed at the port.. the cafe wasn't open so we didn't have to pay..
