Hi - can anyone recommend a good overnight stoppover (paid or free) somewhere between Zaragoza & Irun, either an aire or a restaurant would be good. Have looked on camper contact and park for night, but if anyone had any recommendations, that would be great.

Cheers

I’ve stayed at Olite. The aire is free and right beside an interesting walled town. There are a number of bars and restaurants within the town.
Cheers

We stayed at Cascante (look it up on the CamperContact App). It is a car park next to a community centre but it is a quiet overnight stop and it felt safe. There were a few other MH's there when we passed through in January 2018.

But not much of it is flat. When we were there at the end of January it was full of French motor homes during the day, most of which moved on/went home in the evening.
We stayed two nights on the aire in Pamplona. €10 a night and the machine only takes coins. It's right next to the main road so is a bit noisy but it's easily blocked out with ear plugs. A few of the homeless from the hostel behind the aire use the benches as their living room but they seem harmless and the aire is covered by CCTV. The local police patrolled a lot and were very evident.
An interesting city with hundreds of bars!
