Overnight in Preston (1 Viewer)

I’m considering spending one night in Preston.
I need to travel down so my son can take his theory test as no slots in next 4 months in Scotland.
The only slot we could get is mid morning so we either start from here really early in the car or go down the night before in the van.
I’m looking for ideas of where to stay - happy with CL or free so long as safe, quiet, overnighting allowed and easy reach of town centre.

We've used this place a few times but pre covid so I don't know what the deal is now. Bus outside into Preston, cheap beer, lovely people and grass or hardstanding electric pitches

Try opposite Guys Court on the A6 at Bilsborough good parking area other than that if not getting out before 8am is an overnight a Barton Grange Garden Centre Just go to the far side of the car park and say you are visiting friends on the marina ( Shane) and no problem and very quiet!
