Presently at Camping Salata near Roses, Spain. Couldn't help but notice this French registered Chausson on sitepassing it whenever we walk out. It's got an overhang well in excess of 2 metres 2.5 at a guess, on the back he has a chassis mounted carrier on which is mounted a bycycle and a 125cc Scooter. As an engineer I can visualise the downward loading and it must be grossly overloaded if not dangerous. Apologies for photo quality it was a surreptitious snap as I walked past.

No problem if you wanted to stick something on the back of this one though ...

On and off for many years.
They aren't overloaded, they have anti-gravity devices fitted :) :)

Makes us look a bit too fussy with our spreadsheet of weights of garage stuff.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
Par for the course in France all vans weight 3500kg regardless of size. In May on an Aire we had next to us a Bremina on a 3500kg chassis 4 adults in it, 4 bikes on the back, chairs, windbreaks, bbq etc., no way could it have been anywhere near legal. It was a hire van so obviously the dealer didn't advise them.

I'm keeping that. It'll be handy even if I never use it.
Fill the garages with helium balloons and hey presto, everything back in equilibrium ;-)

And, again except for the Merc, they would probably all complain about poor traction on wet grass!!

Max rear overhang 60per cent of the wheelbase the Bailey would almost certainly exceed that . Any racks or load boxes would have to be within that spec otherwise not compliant with the Con and Use Regs .

Living the dream.
I thought this might have been photoshopped but on close inspection it's either real or very well done. The door and windows seem to make sense where they are. But I don't know what the hell it is.

Stretch? Limo? M-H?. How do you describe it?. Suppose it could just be some "custom" job?

'Custom'
Something so bad that nobody else would be seen dead in it

and therein may lay the answer....perhaps it's a hearse for multiple funerals after all we tend to be an aged lot .

Could be a Machzone but possibly a little bit too young for them
