We are off up to Scotland shortly, and on the way back was hoping to overnight in Jedborough to break the journey home. Does anyone know if you can still overnight in the car park near the town centre ?

Not used it this year, but have used it every year for the last 4 years, don't think they will have changed

can get a little noisy with kids in cars, but very convenient for the town centre and kids seem to go home when it gets dark

the quieter looking car park by the rugby pitches actually says no overnight parking

same option in Hawick although theirs is even more official

I've not used Jedburgh this year but Hawick definitely still welcomes you plus it's got toilets, free wifi , a water tap, a nice park on the doorstep and town is only a few mins walk.

Boy racers here too though they tend to play away from the vans.

The common haugh horse riding is on 4-11 June so cannot park then.

We stayed at Hawick a week passed Tueday, the parking area was great and we were joined by about 7 other vans. I haven't been to Hawick for years and I was slightly disappointed at the town center, a few boy racer came in to the car park and seemed to play a game trying to kill the seagulls, it was all quiet by 9pm.
Lovely walk round the park and if your interested in motorbikes then visit the free museum in the park as some TT bikes there.

forgot to mention the weir at Hawick, apparently at the right time of year that is quite a sight with fish going up and birds trying to catch them, may be a little early yet but not a lot
