Hello Funsters :giggle:
Our oven vent '04 Rapido 786f has fallen apart after becoming brittle. I've contacted Brownhills who say Rapido have discontinued that part, frustratingly so they couldn't even give me a part number. I've given them the dimensions of the aperture and they've sent a link to a Thetford fridge vent (I need both the slatted cover and the insert that holds it). But it's too big even though they reckon it'll work.
Does anyone have any ideas where I could source one? I've got another Thetford one I'm watching on eBay, the insert is close and the cover is slightly smaller, that may work better.
But before I try to make something work, I'd appreciate if anyone knows how I can get the correct one. Thank you.

That picture is of Dometic fridge vent. The vent even has the clips to hold a vent tube which can be used instead of the small plastic cup that holds condensate while it evaporates. I know because I had to take one off my Rapido when the fridge wasn't working very well. You may have to make the opening very slightly larger if the opening is too big for the oven vent but that shouldn't be an issue as the surround has a wooden structure. Are you measuring the surround part that fits into the aperture or the actual cover that fits over the surround?

Agreed. Almost certainly a Dometic. We have the same on our Carthago, with the clips for vent tube.

Wow how do you guys do it?!!! Thank you so much. The thing is, when I said it had fallen apart, it fell apart to the extent that it flew off when we were on the motorway the other day :LOL: so that's why I didn't know the make.
I've measured the aperture and the frame that sits in it that the cover fits to as the cover is the bit that flew off as the clips on the frame had broken off.
It is behind the oven rather than the fridge which is on the opposite side, so I take it a fridge one won't be affected by heat?
