We are setting off to the outer Hebrides tomorrow for ten days. We plan to travel from Barra to the north of Lewis....the full length basically.
We will be wild camping most nights...... Does anyone know if there is there anywhere to top up water and empty the chemical toilet

Have you watched Andrew Ditton’s youtube posts titled “How to Hebrides”

This site gives details of services on Outer Hebrides:

Not many places to wild camp on Barra but there is a CDP at the ferry terminal for Eriskay, also one at Eriskay terminal.

Go visit Vatersay, you can park at community hall for £5.

Some of the ferry ports have fill n dump, one on Barra behind the building next to bus stop opposite ferry terminal. Another up at the old harbour wilding spot. There’s one on the causeway just outside Stornaway. There’s another few but slipping my mind at the moment.

Vattersay community hall parking is on the grass area at the side of the hall car park. No parking in the hall car park. There are 2 showers ( £1 for 6 minutes ) with plenty space. There is 1 separate toilet . Dish wash sink in this area as well. The café is great.
The terminal on Eriskey has the CDP point at the side which also has a fresh water tap. There is a shower ( think its £1 ) in the terminal building as well. There is space to overnight as well. Prince Charlies beach is a short walk away. You can overnight at the end of the road past the A.M Politician pub overlooking another one of the beaches. Eriskey is a great place.
The CDP point at Ardmaree terminal is at the side of the terminal building behind the wall. There is also a fresh water point . You can park up there as well while waiting to go over .
Leverburgh CDP point is supposed to be behind the terminal block , but we did not find it.
South Harris at Hushinis has a toilet and showers ( £1 ) building with fresh water point and CDP unit. This building also has tables and chairs for sitting looing onto the beach. There is a 5 van site with EHU on the way down the hill just before this building. Honesty box payment.
Uig sands has plenty hardstanding parking with a building with showers (£1 ), toilets, washing up room. There is a fresh water tap, CDP unit, wheelie bins beside this building. Honesty box payment is in the wash room. Its a great facility with the beach just behing the parking area.
At Lower Shader there is an overnight stopover facility, almost like a mini site. Very good with friendly owners. You can also pay a donation to the RNLI Lifeboat charity and get fresh water, and toilet empty.
