Out of gas in Brittany, no adapters to be found .....

After a week driving down to Brittany we ran out of gas .....
Realised we need an adapter over here
In the last 36 hours we’ve tried 7 garages and numerous adapters which have not yet fitted.
We are now in Belz - anyone nearby by chance Who can assist ?
A long shot I know !

Well we’ve tried 5 adaptors to date that garages have had, and none fit.
Also dropped by a big dealership in St Brieuc earlier who would need to order a ‘special’ one for us, delivery 2/3 weeks.
Will keep trying now and again on our travels to fill with gas, but as camping places with ehu are so cheap out here anyway, it’s no big deal.

I thought the fillers on the van were standardised to the same thread for adaptors. Surprised you tried 5 and none fitted.
There's two sizes of fillers but both have the same threaded hole.

1 of the 5 did screw in ok, but the GPL nozzle would not fit it properly. This was tried by the gas station staff

If you have gaslow bottles take bottle out get a bottle of gas from super u 5 euro plus the gas. pig tail will fit directly to bottle. I live in france that's the set up I have.
Just jot down a french address to put on the form

This company are excellent for all things GPL (lpg for UK) Vosken. they do a nice set in case for €44.90.
All the GPL stations in France use the dish adapter.

I've always found garage attendants have the adapter in their pocket ready, in France and elsewhere.
I've carried a full set around for six years unused ........ until this year in Italy, I needed them only to find out the O ring seal had perished. Fortunately managed to buy a replacement O ring.

Yes but there is more than one size of " threaded hole" There is as below 1/2" bsp & there is what I had 10mm
