We were wilding in the big car park opposite the beach at La Azohia. We were going to stay at Los Madrilles but the car park seemed a bit more central when we looked at it. We don't stay long in places as we get stir crazy after a while.
you missed one of the best swimming pools in Spain,,and an excellent site,,BUSBY.

That's not quite true, the locals can only stand your company for a few days

Well the rain in Spain falls mainly on.......... us.

Yesterday we walked down from the campsite to the beach and had a look at the odd rock formations

We could not find anywhere to eat so walked back to the site and ate in their restaurant. Food OK with large portions.

Today we decided to travel on to Nerja and stay there. Weather wss awful with high winds and heavy rain. We therefore changed our minds and gave Nerja a miss this time. Instead we headed for La Linea.

We are now in the Aire in the marina. Seems very good. Weather is still awful and we gave up trying to walk into town and returned feeling like drowned rats. Ended up eating a pasta bake in the van.

We are going to try getting to Gib tomorrow. If the wind keeps up we may be blown off the runway!

Just back from Gibraltar and amazed at how much it has changed since ww were last here. Huge amount of landfill on the harbour and now lots of high rise apartments.

The main street used to remind me of a small English town, but not now. More like Andorra with loads of small shops selling "cheap" jewellery, watches, booze and electronic stuff, with most of it looking fake.

I don't normally like spiced rum
But I LOVE this one

If you're placing an order please think of me
Sorry Robert but I scoured all the shops trying to find that for you but without success. Instead all I could find was this rubbish

Left La Linea this morning and drove towards Cadiz via Tarifa. Journey easy and we decided to go to Le Puerto instead as we fancy catching the boat into Cadiz. Aire looked noisy next to the road so decided to go to Camping Las Dunas instead.

Met Dave @Busman and Maggie and had a few beers with them. Bit too cold to BBQ and didn't fancy cooking in the van so down to the campsite cafe to have some fried stuff.

Interesting neighbours turned up. A german coach towing a type of multiple occupancy caravan with 3 layers of little windows. About 20 people got out and proceeded to set it up and then cooked their meal. Some sort of organised holiday on the cheap. Then sat down on benches at tables and ate a meal. Just hope they do not decide to invade.

Took the boat and spent the day looking around Cadiz. It is a compact historical city thst we really liked. It was a public holiday today so the lovals were out in the sun enjoying their city.

Looked at some of the sites. Also went to a very good tapas bar recommended by @Busman so thanks Dave. No sitting and pointing because all of the dishes are cooked to order. And no bread filler with them. Large portions so we only had 5 between us.
