We start with 2 days at Mansfield for Geo to fit me new leisure batteries.
Then 1 night at Cheltenham to break our journey.
Then 5 nights at Rogers Ilfracombe.
Then 3 nights each at the following:-

Bideford
Bude
Launceston
Okehampton
Axminster
Shepton Mallet
Shepton Mallet Show
Cheddar

We will decide later where to after that.

The other side of the coin. The CL we stay at Mansfield to get to Geo's for service etc last year was £10 with electric. This year they upgraded their showers and toilet. Now £12.50 without electric and £15 with. pfffft

Don't CL owners realise we might as well stay on a main club site? :Angry:

They've been quick with the upgrade then. When we were there just before Easter they only had the one room with a toilet, wash basin and a shower in the corner.

At the time it was £7.50 per pitch plus £2.50 if you wanted electric and £1 for an awning so we paid £8.50 a night. It was reasonable then but I don't think we'll be back if they've raised the price that much.

Yes - http://Tall Trees Touring Park. We booked on to the CL field rather than the main, 15 pitch, field. I notice, now, that they have updated their web site since we booked so maybe we got in at last year's prices.

I can't remember when we made the booking reservation but it was for three nights immediately following the Peterborough Show in April.

Although it is just a basic field, at £7.50 plus £1 for the awning it was fine because we used the solar panel to keep the battery topped up and we weren't bothered about the showers etc as we used our own facilities. Wouldn't like to pay £13.50 for the same basic field though.

Too much, especially when you consider you get much better facilities at a CC site for a similar price when mid-week discount is taken into account.

Yep as I say I will use it when I need to get to Geo's as it is just round the corner but that is all. I might be daft but I am not stupid.

The site has an air of neglect about it. The new shower block is only half built (part of his justification for the price increase)

Deserves to fail in my opinion, found another CL 4 miles from Mansfield at £5 a night which we will use next time. :thumb:
