Taken from FB, apparently happened in Grimsby town. The underpass is lower going the opposite way .

Oh dear ... that Autotrail ain't gonna be watertight now ... :giggle: ... at least it won't have far to go to get fixed!

Which underpass in our fair town. I can only think of two that are low enough to inflict damage. One of the underpasses took a Luton body completely off a van not long after they altered the road above it.
I nearly came unstuck in our Sainsbury’s car park last summer on route to topping up the cupboards. Unable to overhang at the back as normal I decided to drive through two bays to make it easier to get out. As I entered the first bay I noticed a large sign attached to the lamp post. It was half way across the bay!!!.
Every fourth bay had the same sign about the time limit for parking. A lot of them were bent back so it wasn’t just me.

I delivered steel around there, on and off, for a few years. Cannot actually think where it might have been?. Ours is a quite tall "A" class, but co-incidently I measured it only to-day. 3.11M over the sat dome?. so isn't that high.

Winteringham Road was altered when Peaks Parkway was built. That was the one that took out the Luton.
The other one is Douty Road near the Town Hall. That one isn’t as low but being near one of the bus depots there were some near misses with new drivers.
In the Oldham area there was a bridge that took out double decker buses. If a driver hit that my Grandads instruction were don’t come back to work. He was one of the Inspectors.
There is also one in Gaisburgh that took the top of a bus after dropping off at a school. That was a very close call that could have been very nasty.

It actually might let it dry out!

Shouldn't be joking about it really hope it's not someone on here that's really spoilt their day.

I grazed the cab top in our local Sainsbury's but it was on a sign showing you which way to go round the car park and the sign was actually pointing the wrong way ! Once you've done it, you notice all the other "sign hazards" in their car park.

there's a railway bridge near me that has eaten several tall vehicles including busses

Brenda's dad used to drive for saturn gas and ripped the valve off a big propane bottle going under a low stone bridge in the New Forest

or the guy that delivered several tonnes of coal to a school in the new lorry. It was an underground bunker accessed by a road ramp. He reversed down and tipped fine, but being lighter and taller on the way out, ripped the front off the building
