Hi All,

We currently have an Oyster 2 single LMB in the MH, this connects to in theory a set top box with output to the Original autotrail 5 year old double din then onto the dropdown tv. though this does in fact not work.

However we are thinking the following, and thoughts experiences sought.

1, if possible replace the single LMB oyster with a dual, hope we can keep the dish as its auto tracks
2, replace the rear AVTEX tv with one with a freesat tuner, fed from 1 of the LMB's
3, replace the original cab drop down with a new one with a freesat tuner or direct feed from the freesat box. 2nd LMB

this would then bypass the faulty head unit for TV, the radio in it works well. we could replace this for one with satnav or use a separate satnav, depending on recommendations.

The Oyster can be updated to Twin LNB fairly easily. Obviously you would require a Twin LNB, the internal coax in the roof unit would have to be removed and replaced with thinner coax leads, the recessed connection plate on the underside of the unit would need to have a second coax connector port drilled out and then you would need to either replace the existing main cable with a Twin main cable or run a second coax cable alongside the existing main cable down into the vehicle. It's probably worth mentioning that the main cables are expensive so running a separate coax down into the vehicle would not only be cheaper but you could also bring it down closer to where the second receiver is to be situated rather than have to run it through the inside of the vehicle.
The cost of the parts directly from Oyster including VAT would be £219.36 (without main cable) and £555.55 (with main cable) + shipping if applicable. We can also carry this work at our premises if required, our labour rate is £55 per hour plus VAT.
