Hi all,

I’m going to have a look at the following van tomorrow.

2013 Pilote Explorateur G741LG

I’ve been offered 30k part ex for my Autocruise Starblazer XL with extras 2009.

What I’m mainly after is two single beds where ours is above the rear garage and hard to get in and out.

So anyone with comments cos I’ve never seen these vans so cannot pass an opinion until tomorrow.

Regards.

I had a Pilote G690 2014. Great van - only replaced by another van from the Pilote stable. Looks nice. I like the brand reputation

We have a 2014 G741 LJE which is a similar layout but with a drop down bed in the cab as well. We paid £46k a couple of years ago from a dealer in Sussex. I know its a sellers market at the moment though so the price of the 2013 may be fair in todays market. The 741 should be on the Alko AMC chassis so is likely to plated at 4250kg but I couldnt see the weight in the ad. We bought ours for a similar reason - ease of access to the beds and love the van. I would be checking the fittings on the locker doors particularly the latches that hold the outside under bed locker doors up when open and also latch on the rounded door under the sink. Also the rubber seals round the locker doors as well.

Edit: looking at the pics the rear wheels look to be in line with the front so may not be the AMC chassis so I would check the max weight and if its 3500kg ask them to weigh it to check the payload.

I have the 2014 783 explorateur very happy with this and seems we got it for a bargain price compared to this price

In the end we purchased the below Motorhome didn’t like the above condition wise and for a few pounds extra got a new van, well 1150 miles, one owner and not a year old.
