Oouch fried brakes

Fried/ boiled and baked my brakes at the he weekend. Weekend trip to forfar, ended up costing me a small fortune. I forgot to take the hand brake off and drove 50 miles on the motorway in auto and cruise control, unaware I had the hand brake on., Untill bleeps and lights started off fashing all over the dash. luckly hq in Penrith sorted me in out and got me back on the rd within 24 hrs. Expensive lesson, bizarrely I have been driving fiat ducatos for more than 15yrs and is the 1st time i have forgotten to do it.
 
Last time I forgot, couldn’t move forward, couldn’t move back. Parked on grass for 5 days so decided that I must have settled down on soft ground and was just wondering who could pull me out when I realised ! We do have a very load beep though should movement be possible, and we need it as now so used to cars without a manual handbrake.
 
I can’t move ours with the handbrake on , it isn’t a Fiat but am disappointed for you that it appears not to work and then your costs to reinstate a dysfunctional feature 🤔😳

I'm impressed that you do get a faulty brakes warning never having seen it.

I always have to make sure mine is totally off ----- or it beeps like crazy

Ouch!
My son did similar on the m/way coming home from Uni in Liverpool in his old Mini - the hub grease ran out and the hubs got so hot/seized that I had to replace the wheel bearings as well.

Ducato.I like to drive in the sit up and beg position,this caused me to often not release the handbrake fully.( Only NEARLY a paid up Knuckle Dragger. Jennifer/EARS !! :ROFLMAO: alters that VERY quickly.
Have bought the extension Gismo. Easy to fit.......... But Easy to knock off when getting out. I HAD read the reports,so was ready for that,got used to it now and use the old " Slither hither .....Spook !" Method..... WHO remembers him ?.....SPOOOOOK !:ROFLMAO: ROY JAY .1983 Bob Monkhouse show.Go on,force yourselves.......... Risk one eye.......

Yer should have bought a PVC and not an A-Class. :LOL: On my 2007 Ducato, when moving off, if I do not fully release my handbrake, a beeper sounds.:unsure:
 
Mine should as well, it's the ducato. But obviously it's not working. It will be soon

I only have a warning light but it is right in your face on the dash. Then again the handbrake is that good it isn't possible to move with it on.
