Useful in this time of self-isolation but more generally when travelling, have you looked into the online resources which can be accessed with a simple library card?
Using my library card and pin, I can access a whole range of magazines, newspapers, e-books and audio books. I already used it to view magazines from RBDigital on my tablet, and today looked at what was available via pressreader - there are thousands of daily newspapers from home and abroad plus magazines. You can even look through back issues of newspapers if you want to. I've not even touched on books and audiobooks.
Well worth investigating, and all at no cost (apart from the already-paid council tax).
