So, how much power is drawing from the 12v bank of batteries, powering the Victron inverter ?

Watts and Amps?

Not long enough!
Look in the instruction book, but i don't think they use a lot.

I am not convinced that you can tell from that screen, what is on the "inverter" tab.

The inverter is drawing 52 amps I think.

52 times 12.7 is 660W input power.

The output is 230v at 2.8A making 644W, which sounds about right.

BUT, the 52 amps is what is going into the inverter, you may only, as an example, be drawing 48 amps from the batteries if it is being topped up with say 4 amps from the solar. Still a lot of current, don't run it for too long. :)

Watts and Amps?
Amps represents the amount of electric current flowing.
Watts represents the amount of power available from that electric current.
To get watts, multiply amps by volts.
Taking 4 amps from your 12 volt system is (4x12) = 48 watts
Taking 4 amps from a 240 volt hook-up is (4x240) = 960 watts

To power a 1000 watt hairdryer from a 12 to 240 volt inverter takes (1000/12) = 83.3 amps plus a bit for inverter losses, say 90 amps.
If you ran that hairdryer for 30 mins that would reduce your 12 volt battery by (90/2)= 45 amp-hours, which is about all the usable capacity of a typical leisure battery.

I am an expert on electricity and sorting out electrical problems in motorhomes.

First you must do the...

Diagnosis.

When it gets dark, switch on a switch.

Does anything happen, ie a light go on or the water pump start buzzing?

If the answer is "Yes", all is well and carry on as usual.

If the answer is "No" then you might have a problem, in which case you should go to bed.

Solution.

In the morning, get out your tool box and put it on the ground, outside your habitation door. Open the lid of the tool box, sit on your door step, look into the distance with a vacant expression on your face.

Some kind, know it all, Motorhomer will soon wander over, tell you what is wrong and fix it for you (using his own tools because they are better than yours).

Why would anyone need to run a hairdryer for 30 minutes, nobody has that much hair, even SWMBO s only takes a couple of minutes.

Number 3 all over, not only saves on power, but saves a fortune shampoo & conditioner as well

52amp or 660.4 watts from your battery bank to provide 230v 2.8amps from the inverter.

The mains hookup is limited to 16amps
The onboard mains charger/solar is providing 15v

Have you never tried to dry a pair of damp jeans with a hairdryer?
Or
What about thawing out a frozen chicken by directing a hairdryer at it and into it?
