I am not sure.

I dont think the ad would amount to an offer but more likely "an invitation to treat" acceptance of which does not form a contract. So if a shop advertises a chocolate bar for 3p instead of 30p they arent obliged to sell at 3p.

The flip side though is that it would have all the characteristics of a contract - offer, acceptance and consideration although if you sued they would probably argue "mistake" as a defence which would be a get out for the seller.

I dont know if there have been any cases on this.

Well, under the "showroom" tag, it is again listed, third item down, again at £364.00 including vat.

I know two wrongs don't make a right, but it does sort of confirm the requested price.
