Two things have been holding us back from getting away in our recently acquired MH. Number one was waiting for the arrival of our grandson who made his appearance last Sunday at 6am so the planned BBQ for fathers day went out the window and the steaks went back in the freezer.
The second reason is more unpredictable, the wife has been on the list to have a knee replaced for over eight months now so it could be any time now, your guess is as good as mine.
We have nothing planned as yet but when we're ready we shall book the euro tunnel (easier on the dog) and make our way down from Calais to Saint Jean d' Angely 30 miles S/E of La Rochelle.
No route planned but we'll be taking our time getting there, avoiding motorways, using Aires if possible and hoping you guys can advise on interesting places to stay.
