Looking at a new Globecar, there was an on the road charge of over £1,600!
Is this amount usual ?:cry:

It sounds a lot to me but I suppose it depends on the price of the van. I looked at one which included all the costs to get it on the road, but I guess the base price was higher to include the delivery, road tax etc.

Looks to me they are trying to keep the advertised value of the van low and put costs on afterwards - I would guess the best way is to get quotes for the same van from a number of suppliers and see if they all sing off the same hymn sheet. Then take the lowest quote to your dealer and see what they have to say
