All packed. Paperwork sorted. House checked and just about to get the AHC for Ruby. Heading to Canterbury for 2 nights to visit our son. Then ferry on Thursday. I think we have everything covered but will update as we go. Hopefully all good news.

six weeks in the sun :france:

Make sure to get the French AntiCovid app on your phone and scan your certificates to load up your vaccination status. Or carry your paper certificates if you want to eat in a restaurant or get in a campsite. They are very keen on checking your vaccine status

also found out that the first Sunday of the month is a free visit to some historic sites!
So on Sunday 5th September we will be in Fontainebleau as it on-route.

Have fun. There’s a free park up at one of the gates into the Fontainebleau chateau next to the equestrian centre. Bit of a cobbled bumpy drive in, but you can park up close to the entrance gates for free. Be carful that you return to you van before the gates lock because its a long walk round. Look forward to hearing how your travels go.

It’s a little bit more complicated normal paperwork plus we have printed copies of COVID vacations also made sure apps are working also downloaded both French apps and they are working
We have the signed declaration that we have not come into contact with anyone etc. AHC for the dog.

We will sort tests on the way back if still required

Hopefully that’s it (y)

Arrived last night at Canterbury Aire. Fantastic nights sleep. Why oh why can’t other do this. All park and rides should be made to do this as it would relieve so many issues with wild camping massive empty car parks at night earning money

Is the declaration on one of the French apps? And can one print it off?

We went to Fontainebleu a few years ago (just after Nice bombings) and not overly interested in going inside any of the chateaus anymore as the gardens and exterior are generally free and the history inside isnt worth 10-20 euros per head to us.
Lovely grounds with several entrances and although we didnt stay the night it seemed a few stayed over here

We have 2 apps tousanticovid verif and AntiCovid That works as your pass I think
Neither are needed , the NHS one works perfectly well , so do printed copies and photos of printed copies.

Anyone knows anything about this Astra zenica jab produced in India ? Is this resolved now as apparently the EU did not accept this? It effects a huge group of people ?

It’s resolved in France for sure as I had that batch and here I am sat in the Dordogne! 👍🇫🇷

Does anyone know do you need the speed stickers on the van or not? I have the angles mort. But not putting on yet. Just wondering

Cool, was it not mentioned at all? Me and the other half both had that batch! Wish I was in the Dordogne too, hopefully will be there permanent early next year 😁

Never worried about speed stickers, didn't even know they were required. Regarding angles mortes if I am right your van is 3650kgs max so I would just do as you are take them with you but not put them on. We are heavier than you at 4250kgs and still not bothering as these vans all look very alike. A massive A class then I may think differently.

We have upped to 3850. We will not really use motorway prefer country roads so hopefully out the way of main police stops other than speed.
hopefully we will blend in:X3::ROFLMAO:
