New to the bigger on board tanks and would appreciate any cleaning tips, shelf bought fluids fluids etc?
We do not drink the water in the "fresh tank" and noticed a bit of a pong from the waste tank in the warmer weather when the van has been closed.

As an aside I have just stripped all the fittings off the hose used for filling and noticed a bit of "mould" in the push fits. Hoselock bright yellow.

Most of the sites ask that you sterilise your hands before contact with the taps but fittings?? I have not seen campers in the queue at the the filling point with any special pre-connection routines.

Soaking in Milton and hot water at the moment.

I use food grade citrus acid bought from Amazon to sterilise and decalcify fresh water tank and system. We drink the water from the tank as well as using it to clean teeth, wash up and cook.

Steri tabs before we set off on a trip.
Tastes a bit but soon clears.
Drink tank water for the rest of the trip.
Been doing that for 10 years with no probs and I have a sensitive gut..
Mitch.
