Omnistore Awning question

Wasn’t quite sure where to post this so here goes ,
Our Swift Ducato comes equiped with the Thule Omnistore awning.
Whilst kitting out our new van I found two brackets under the bed which I know are designed to attach the awning legs to the van at a jaunty angle ( I’ve seen them before on various coach built motor homes)
I cant say I have ever seen them on a ducato van based model , in my mind it would be very convenient to use them instead of pegging down the legs .
has anyone done this on the panel van ?

I attached mine to the side of the van. Works well..
