And when did that sketch come out?

Hmm that'll stop me from being clever, it is known as 'the four Yorkshire men sketch' from the 'at last the 1948 show' 1967, I was 14 and I well remember it, also Bill Oddie etc from 'I'm sorry I'll read that again' my name is Angus prune And this is my tune, I'm sorry I'll read that again'(y)

Bill had a red Mini 850 cc I think it was a C registered, so it could have been 1965. He could get it up to 50 mph downhill with a good wind behind him:LOL:

He used to casually drive into his local Jet station and ask for a gallon of 4 star (big spender)........from memory he thinks this cost around 2/11 d ....... those were the days, he had a full head of hair back then as well(y)

I well remember my then girl friend and I going on a bus to the Odean to see Barberella .. After we left, into Wimpy's for burger chips and a milk shake ( and it WAS milk back then ) and then the bus home.. Just got change of ten bob !!

Gong back further.. crisps ( with the blue bag of salt ) 3d, loaf of bread 5d, pint of milk was about 6d

I still remember seeing a new house ( BIG for the day.. 3 bedroom ) go up for sale with a big banner on it.. £500

I will qualify the above with my wages ( gap year and all that jazz.. which turned out to be somewhat longer ! )

I worked for DER as a television engineer ( and nooo.. not a bottle jockey but a proper, component level engineer ) .. My take home was £5.18.6d

He was 21 and it felt so good being with him as no-one else's boyfriend had a car.
Buying 1 fag before going to school.
Bought my first watch but hid it but father found it and sold it to buy booze, what a horrible man. He never liked me.
God am i that old? ???
