I have a rhd 1995/6 Hymer A class B654 and the heating fan under the front dashboard (I think it’s to the left of the control panel) has stopped. There might have been a slight burning smell as well. I can not see for the life of me how to get to it. And I really have no idea how to then try to tackle the problem. And of course with this weather it’s a must. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

A few years.
Most vehicles required some/all of the dash removing to get to it

The resistor pack that controls the fan speed is a common problem on the older Fiats I think you have to remove most of the dash to get at it.

The fan stopped on my 2001 Fiat based hymer and the problem was fuse holder in the glovebox had melted, poor contact I think. So I fitted a separate fuse hold and it’s been fine since.

Thanks for the reply Lenny. But what is and where is the resistor pack? And can I repair it? And do you have any details (or know where I can get them) that shows how to dismantle the dash? I can’t see how it’s done
