I've seen this on line and at the Shows. Is it any good? I know that the gunk supplied with many new cars is hated by tyre fitters but this is claimed not to do the same damage.

Your views appreciated.

Heard mixed reviews about it. Some swear by it, others say it affected the balance and handling terribly.

Personally, if my tyre has a hole in it, I would much rather it deflate so I know than let it be patched with gunk and cruise along not knowing. Particularly so with tyre pressure monitoring.

It certainly works and I used to use it on trailers and Landrover wheels. I don’t use it on current cars as I now carry the instant puncture repair sticks and a compressor.
If preventing a flat tyre is the aim then Oko is difficult to beat as a solution.

Thank you. I think I might have a chat with Mr Kwikfit before I decide

Can't comment apart from the Tyre sealant used in Bikes.... it's pretty much all water based now....sits in the tyre and seals holes up to 3mm ...only caveats are that it works best on low pressure set ups like Mountain bikes, Gravel bikes and City bikes than the higher pressure road racing bikes...plus they need a timely topping up of sealant....best doing some more digging..

Is this to cure a problem that doesn’t exist in respect of motorhomes? We have been motorhoming for over 45 years, driven on gravel, rock, mud and tarmac and never had a puncture. The quality of tyres these days is far superior to what they were and considering how many vehicles are on the roads today you don’t see many vehicles with punctures.

Thanks again and a valid point stevewagner. In fairness only had two in the last fifteen years in cars and no amount of sealant would have stopped them

Following an experience in the M4 roadwork s last year, Im now a big fan of Tyrepal. It let me know there was a problem before I had picked it up and gave that extra bit of time to get off the motorway where I would have been sat in a live lane. I regularly check my tyres but didn't see that one coming.
