From a previous thread I have just put my van on a weighbridge.
I am confused as to what my max weight should be.
The rating plate on the swift Bolero Fiat Ducato based van reads
3650
6150
1- 1850
2- 2000

However, on the V5 item:
(Y) Revenue Weight 3700 KG Gross
F.1 Max Permissable mass is 3700
G Mass in service 3140
Can somebody please explain what weight I am allowed.
I passed my test in 1970 so licence in not a problem.

Thanks guys
John

the value on the plate is what DVSA will go by if you are stopped and weighed

As a matter of interest, what were your weighbridge results for each axle?

@Baycott - John, don't worry - just seen your post under 'weighbridge at Lancing'

Maximum vehicle weight is 3650, Front Axle Maximum (1) is 1850, Rear Axle Maximum (2) is 2000.

The 6150 is the maximum weight towing a trailer, including the trailer, I think.

I assume the 3650kg is on the Swift plate & I expect the Fiat plate says 3850kg, the last plate fitted is the one that counts which would be the Swift one, so either Swift have put the wrong plate on or your V5 is incorrect.

I would contact Swift, if the plate is wrong they should issue another one and you gain 50kg of payload.
