Got me Castrol Magnatec 5w-40 C3 engine oil (ebay has a good deal on 8 litres at the mo), got me Fiat filter and sump washer, and I was going to dive under today. However, the wind is so gusty it's going to blow the oil all over the place so have postponed it until the wind dies down.:D

Anyone else up to the same sort of thing ----- or postponing it?

Regards,

Trikeman. ;)

Not on the RV but need to replace a front sidemarker bulb, means stripping out the wheel arch liner, and strip rear brakes to overhaul hand brake on my car for MOT early next month.

To be honest i cant be arsed even though i have a very large garage.

It is bloomin "Baltic" in that wind, sleet and p..., and I'm sulkin cos I can't play golf in it, and there ain't no rush anyway. If I potter anymore with the van Mrs says she will get me sectioned :( I ain't got a credible defence !!

Been out in the Mercedes but working inside, so not too bad.

Got some useful stuff done, currently using another Castrol product, spraying the insides of the body panels with Rustilo DWX33.

For engine oil we buy Chevron Supreme 10W-40 from Costco, it's about £38 plus VAT for 20 litres, we use it in our petrol V8's and the diesels.

We also bought some OAT antifreeze from ebay, £23.99 for 5 litres and free delivery from 'opieoils'. Excellent people to deal with and that price is nearly half what Land Rover charge.

It's on the Mercedes approved list.
