Today on a beach in Cuevas de Almanzora.

Looks a heavy beast to turn up the right way again. Hope no-one was in it

Everything however good has its limits and they found it, hope all ok.

They were probably descending from the cliff above and not driving along the beach.

"Germans, Faulty". :xwink:

Judging by the loose earth that the guy on the left is standing on I would speculate that the ground collapsed underneath it and it slid down and upturned when it hit the beach.

Just one guess.

Geoff
As above- They were too close to the edge of the track and too heavy for the soil banking

There's some seaweed washed up that shows it could get a bit damp if they don't shift that Mog soon.

I don't think their recovery service will retrieve that for them! I suspect it's gonna be an expensive lesson that even a Unimog has its limitations!

Look on the bright side, at least they can clean the roof easily now and give the underside an inspection too! :giggle:

I know this isn't funny really but I bet we could have some fun with that as a caption competition ... !

Wow, looks like a serious error of judgement...

What a hellish situation to get into!

It look as though they were travelling along the track and misjudged the edge or the edge gave way.
Looking at where the edge has come away I suspect it was too narrow anyway but they chanced it ... these things weight 4.5 tonnes upwards so it was a stupid thing to do in the first place.

Yes, I can't imagine why they'd even think that the track could take the weight of their vehicle.

I wonder how they'll get it sorted?

I'm guessing they'll pivot it around and dig a trench alongside the inner wheels then pull it over.

It must be so much worse in that they're up against time with the tide coming in. Such a shame, it looks a lovely vehicle.
