Not much to go wrong with the old Merc 410 chassis. Sagging rear springs are all really. If it has not had a turbo fitted you need to be of a patient disposition. The habitation units ie, fridge, heater and boiler will be getting on in years but just make sure they are serviceable as they are expensive to replace. Not much to worry about with damp unless the one piece fibreglass roof has been drilled. The 700s had quite a long overhang at the rear so many were damaged on the rear corners. A good choice of van.

Good choice :). Snowbird has summed it all up, there is certainly no point in hurrying. There is a good Classic Hymer group on Facebook, and you can also see some of the manuals in my web pages. You should just make sure that you can drive it, as it is 4.6 ton.

    Cheers
