Try the slate museum at the other end of the village its interesting and FREE. Electric Mountain next door is excellent aswell but you have to pay for that.

Just got back.
As you would expect from Morris Leisure, the site is immaculate, 10 minute walk from the town.
Most of the shops sell climbing and hiking gear but there are about 4 cafes serving basic food but at reasonable prices, there is a bakery that sells excellent bread and cakes and there is a one stop shop that sells everything expensive but further along the high street there is a Londis.
Lots of beautiful walks by the lake, i can see that it will be busy in the summer.
easy to get to.
Take everything that you will need as no supermarkets near, back to the site, excellent, wardens friendly, 3 service points and a RV point all easy to get to.
TV reception ok and you get 20 channels, each electric hook up has a tv point so take your extension but we got good reception on the MH aerial with booster.
Only a 1g data connection so mobile phones work ok for calls and messaging but poor data signal (virtually non existent) the site does have wi fi but you have to pay.
Overall we will definately be going back.

We went last weekend on the 342 offer was fab site. It's now our new favourite one.
Only pitch I would avoid is pitch 31as white peg is right by the chemical clean we were moved to another one as our dinette over looked it and didn't fancy watching people doing there doings while we ate lol.
Staf were so friendly and helpful will definitely be back.

Stayed on pitch number 4 , massive pitches !

if you want an authentic , locals , spit and sawdust boozer from the 70s try the Prince Of Wales pub ! Loved it !
Had a gorgeous lunch at The Royal Victoria Hotel , the fish and chips were lovely

Just looked at 3 nights in May £104. Need to be one hell of a site to justify those prices.

Some people know the cost of everything and the value of nowt .
