Hi all, we are off to the Black Forest and down to Lake Constance in a couple of weeks time. We never really make plans when we go to Germany as there are so many stellplatz to stop on, we’ve been to some of them but if anyone has any nice places to stop please post them.

Thanks in advance Martin

Couple of our favourites 😁😁

Interested as well be near Constance around the 7/8 sept on the way from Interlaken to Aulendorf 👍

We go over on 11th September for a month.
Mohne Dam, Colditz Castle then down to Romantic Route for a week then along the Alpine Road to Lake Constance then over the Mosel. Finishing around Cologne.

But

If the weather is shit, then

Ola Espana …… 😂🥳

It sounds like you know Germany quite well, whereas we have only motorhomes there once along the Mosel and Romantic Road. If that might be of interest we did a blog.... shown Below.

Germany 2023
You never know, you might have stumbled on a gem that we might have passed loads of times, just because we are hardened Germany visitors, doesn’t mean we can’t learn about new places!!
I’ll give it a read later👍👍👍

Rurberg is lovely, although we couldn't get our old Hymer in - as the back end was dragging on the floor trying to get up the steep access ramp. Would probably be OK now with air suspension but haven’t been back yet.

Worth bearing in mind if you have a long wheelbase MH.

A review on S4S says it’s 16.50 till midnight and another 16.50 after midnight making it 33.00 can anyone confirm this?

We like Überlingen - a walk down the hill to the lovely, lakeside town.
Also like the Stellplatz at Camping Park Gohren at Kressbronn.
However, you may have a problem finding a place at the weekend. Bodensee is very popular and we were told by regulars that it's best to arrive Monday to Thursday.

It wasnt when we have stayed there (twice with last time in 2020)

Off season ish we have seen them park down the bottom in the car park for free

Just done similar in reverse. Mosel. Loved it spent 5 days meandering from Stelplatz to Stelplatz. Zell was a favourite and Menhing but only for the Stelplatz not much in town. Up to Koblenz and over to Wurtzburg and down the Romantic Road. Must say not for me and about as romantic as the M25 on a wet Friday afternoon IMO. Over to Bodensee and a night at Uberlingen which is nice and now at Schluchsee in the Black Forest.

Forgot to say never dropped below 30 degrees in the day since we left blighty on the 3rd August or was it the 4th? I forget. What day is it anyway?
Bit much for the dog at times though.

What do you get from a factory tour?? T shirt, cups, pens etc??
It was just 5€ and they showed the guts from the factory and found it really interesting. I'm an enthusiast for all related to technical aspects in motorhomes, so I enjoyed 🙂
We also could visit all the exposed models.
Well, we liked the experience very much.
I do recommend it, but no free gifts if that's what you expect :giggle:
And a really nice and tidy stellplatz.
