Hello all. We are soon to get our second motorhome and plan to go to France and maybe Northern Spain for 4 or 5 weeks from the middle of next month. We would really love to hear your tips and suggested itineraries: walking (5 or so miles a day), golf and maybe surfing are typical things that we get up to. Also any ideas/suggestions on satellite tv and fitting services would be much appreciated.

Should have added that we are from North Devon and so we like the quiet life: shops are a big No, No!

Cheers

Re surfing:

Lacanau-Ocean has an aire a little way back from the beaches, and there's MH friendly parking behind Plages-Sud but not overnight.
Biscarrosse-Plage has an aire in the pine forest, within walking distance (across the dunes) of an impressive sandy beach. Small supermarket near the aire.
Mimizan-Plage has an aire with easy beach access.
I haven't yet been to Hossegor.
In the Biarritz area I reckon the best surfy aire to head for is Anglet, Boulevard des Plages, where you have a good choice of spots within easy reach. There's also a golf course backing onto the aire - not sure what their entry policy is though. The La Barre aire up the road is OK but the beach looks a bit more limited, and Ave de Milady south of Biarritz has a beach over the road but the aire is crowded, and noisy from nearby traffic.

Into Northern Spain, Playa Atxabiribil at Sopelana is a known surf spot, and the whole coast looks worth exploring - we didn't spend that much time there though.
