well had nothing planned for this weekend due to commitments, things have changed so heading off tomorrow to Biggar. We have drove through the place loads of times and always say wouldn't it be nice to come here, well we will be there for the weekend so will see if it's as nice as we think.

Anyone use the local campsite.

Always - off and on
Have stayed there twice. - Beware the blackbirds! Stayed there for two nights and watched a blackbird gathering nest building materials couldn't see where it was going......... Well we found out when we investigated a noise near dashboard - on investigating found an almost completed nest under the bonnet. Had to evict as we were moving the next day.

It's a nice site, right beside the golf course, we parked up by the lochside. Used our own facilities, think the site ones were quite basic. It attracts a lot of regular weekend visitors, a nice easy walk along the railway line just behind the golf course, a nice wee town. We always said we'd go back again but haven't yet. Hope you have a good weekend.

Be interested in how you get on. In the ninties we had an old tourer pitched up there next to the playpark, there was public toilets opposite us but nearer the clubhouse a keyholder facility.
Biggar lovely little town, used to be full of museums, Gladstone's land and a few others, it's another place that I would happily move to. We have often thought about taking motorhome back but when we were there all these years ago most plots were taken up by seasonal weekend golfers. I think we still have the toilet key, wonder if it still fits.:D
