Evening all, has anyone found anywhere to overnight in Oban. Thanks

Opposite Tescos there is parking for motorhomes where the coaches and lorries park, which is free. Or you could try your luck and see if there is a space along the esplanade over looking the bay. Failing all of that there is a big Lidl there now and also an Aldi around the corner on the way to Tesco.
If you go for the Tesco park, turn right at the traffic lights opposite the high school, right at the mini roundabout and it is there on the right, no height barrier.

Hi, we wildcamped at Taynuilt pier. Turn right in the village and follow the road down to the second pier, beautiful spot. Alternative there is a site 4to 5 miles back up the road. Taynuilt is 20 mins from Oban

Before anyone starts about signs.
I visited there a while back and it was being completely abused by campers and unfortunately Motorhomes and it is the local community council that are trying to keep the place clean
Don't blame them one little bit, a stunning spot looking down Loch Etive that was being ruined again by the so-called minority.

i go there often to fish, and completely agree about the minority who spoil it for everyone. i had been hoping to park up overnight to save a double drive from Glasgow, but no go now.

There's a cl not far from Oban we freecamped on that rd next to the loch no problem plenty of spaces. He was full at the time

Just North you have Loch Creran or Carsaig. Look on you tube for Angus Campbell. He travels all over that area and shows wild camp spots.
