on ebay site it says its a CARIOCA
but it resembles a converted ambulace

Or may be a tesco type box van self build
check just behind passenger door
it looks like a side door filled in

a phone call first before a long journey

not much info either

Looks like a home brew using salvaged caravan interior to me.

Carioca 15p is a model name from CI

I put Auto Campers carioca 15p in a Google search and this is what it came back with.

Above the cab looks like it had a cold room compessor housed in it plus at 198,000, it's averaged 24,750 miles a year. Not your average for a motorhome user more like a goods delivery drops mileage.

No certainly not after it and it does look homebrew job - thought it might of been a converted fridge van - but whatever it is it certainly seems cheap for a 2010 usable van

For someone wanting a cheap van to run for a year or two it would be a good start if it is as described. At that price one could replace things as and when necessary.

I'm guessing it was a delivery van of some sort and home converted. Nothing wrong with that as long as the insulation is good.

Mileage is 30,000 short according to MOT checker!

still too cheap .. if you have to ask , you already know.

Ok it's definitely a home made job:D and as already said looks like a refrigerator van.Having said that looking on eBay at the prices on ambulance etc are around 4/5k as a van.Its not the greatest conversion ,then again not the highest price :D It is not going to appeal to everyone but if it floats your boat it is a cheap van which could be made a lot better for not a lot of outlay.I think they would take a offer ;)

Test drive it and if you like it and at that price - buy it!

Looks a decent conversion - high mileage yes but those Mercs were designed for high mileage

Just my opinion! :)

DVLA recognises it as a Mercedes Van, not a Motor Caravan--------and has no MOT or Tax currently
Suggest as others its an ex Waitrose/Tesco Fridge delivery van, but I think its ALWAYS going to be worth £5000 even in a few years !!

Carioca 15P was later badged as the 644 -I new that on my original post it was not a ci (caravans international) and thought it was homebuild but for a 2010 vehicle a very good price compared to a 90-95 coachbuilt vehicle which would cost the same or thereabouts

Looks like the ex police vans I was considering buying for a home conversion

2010 3.0 litre automatic with low miles for £7995

So with an interior in it that ones not a bad buy for someone.

I used to drive for this company and recognised the form factor immediately. The local depot is only about 7/8 miles away from the advertisers premisses.(y) the housing for the refrigerator unit is unique to Ocado/Morrisons as are the two midship doors either side.

Not bad for the money but would probably need to get it re-registered as a Motor Caravan to get proper Motorhome insurance on it.
Interior looks like it's come from a late 80's, early 90's caravan.
