Hi Ranger a bit embarrassed but it was a flat battery, not even a duff one, I was under the impression that if on hook up it kept both batteries topped up but I am a newbie, don't tell anyone else on here will you cheers

Some vans EHU have a 'float' charge system on the cab battery but it only keeps the batteries level constant, not top them up as such, some vans have nothing at all. Not sure if any have a full recharge capability on the van side on an EHU ?? Unfortunately draining a vehicle battery a lot will cause some issues with its capacity to hold a full charge again, so it won't last as long as it should have. Glad you got it sorted anyway
