A few years back the woman at Southdowns said it was costing them about £50k to exhibit at the NEC show, can well believe that.Te shows are killing them selves off by stupid hight prices for traders.
I hate to even hazard a guess of the cost to some dealer with large plots

Having said that we enjoy doing the shows and meeting and socialising with other traders and club members.

Which is great if you want to buy one if you’re retired, work continental shifts or live on the doorstep! I guess they won’t be selling me one being as I work 5 1/2 days a week! I used to sell Harleys and weekend was prime timethey don’t even open Sunday now!!
Anyways it doesn’t matter to you as they are no longer selling Concorde so you have no need to visitWhich is great if you want to buy one if you’re retired, work continental shifts or live on the doorstep! I guess they’re just relying on selling to the retired
It’s a struggle to get owt done without using your holidays if you’re still a worker

I can see your point of view but it's only the UK where everything opens on Sunday. Most mainland European countries apart from holiday areas shops are closed on Sunday. Germany apart from food shops they close at 1:30 on Saturday until Monday.Which is great if you want to buy one if you’re retired, work continental shifts or live on the doorstep! There was a big political push to open on Sundays but I agree with you I liked it a lot more when it was all closed. Not least because it obviously increases staffing costs and therefore caused inflation. There's only so much money to spend all you do by opening more is spread it out.I can see your point of view but it's only the UK where everything opens on Sunday. I think the UK was a much nicer place when shops were closed on Sunday and I've always thought that not just since I retired.
It was sold as bringing us in line with mainland Europe, what a joke. There was a big political push to open on Sundays
I think that was used as an excuse for lots of things. It was sold as bringing us in line with mainland Europe, what a joke.
